Massage may be one of the best ways to aid relaxation, to find inner peace and calm, and to take much needed time out for yourself.
Kerry offers a choice of Aromatherapy Body Massage and Swedish Body Massage. Massage consists of rhythmic movements working superficially and deep into the tissue layers, easing physical and mental tension. It also improves skin tone, muscle tone and strengthens muscle fibres. Blood and lymphatic circulation is also improved.
Swedish massage works deeper into muscle tissue aiding all of the above, whereas Aromatherapy massage is much slower pace, allowing the essential oils to enter the bloodstream and helping with such conditions as; insomnia, anxiety, depression, nervous tension, anger and lethargy, as well as physical problems; some skin conditions, indigestion, IBS, nausea, high/low blood pressure, migraines to name but a few. Along with these benefits, aromatherapy oils can produce a sense of calm, soothing and relaxation. Alternatively, certain oils can produce feelings uplifting and energising.
A full consultation will be carried out at each individual treatment to suit your specific needs, and to evaluate any contra-indications you may have which could stop or limit a treatment.
Kerry qualified as a Holistic Therapist and became self employed in 2008, and has been working locally ever since. She has experience in working with terminally ill patients and cancer patients after having the opportunity to volunteer at Blythe House Hospice in Chapel-en-le-Frith, where she now works as a Therapist on 'Carers Day'. She is a Member of the International Council for Holistic Therapists (M.I.C.H.T.), and a full member of the Federation for Holistic Therapists (FHT), where she earns Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points each year to enhance her professional and personal development.
